The presentation is of the utmost importance when you sell a product. Creating clean wrappers and marketing materials is a must. Today’s screens render images with a high resolution. For this reason you won’t get away with images from second zone. The same applies to marketing materials.

Photoshop quality is a must.

Microsoft Office 2007 Seminar by Ycademy

This is a major event: the February Ycademy Online Seminar will focus on Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise.

The event will stretch over 2 days: Saturday, February 27 and Sunday February 28, 2010

Starting time: 1 pm London Time (GMT) – closing: about 9 pm; dinner and coffee breaks.

Recording: participants are allowed to record the seminar, audio and data (desktop) with the built in recording tool for future reference.

Pre-Seminar Trainings

There will be 2 Pre-Seminar Trainings, on Tuesday February 23 and Thursday, February 25.

Purpose: We will make sure your Office Suite is properly installed and ready for use and we will elaborate with participants personal or business related brand elements for efficient use. This concerns Fonts, Graphics and Colors. Join these calls if you need help with graphics as during the seminar we will not have the time to discuss branding and to create graphics from scratch.

We will provide sample graphics.

Note:

This unique Seminar will build with all participants the Office infrastructure to run a Business and to make the best use of the computer. The Seminar will be recorded and post-edited for future commercialization at the price of $447 including 3 hours of personal tutoring by an Ycademy Pro. WP Best City or Town Theme

How to build a local website, focusing on your town or city? WP Best City or Town Theme by Semiomantics is the answer! WP Best City or Town is not really a theme, it’s a concept for people who want to bring their town and activity to the internet. Semiomantics builds module based Town or City Blogs and CMS in function of the needs of the user.

The WP City Concept by Semiomantics

Every town is different and yet, they all have many common aspects when it comes to presenting and promoting the town, it’s business, events, local market and more. Surfing Google and looking for town sites, you will notice that many towns exist only through rather boring, sterile tourism related directories or politically hyper correct official sites and blogs. Nothing you really want to look at. There are exceptions of course, but chances are that your town is lousily represented on the internet and the people of the town are simply neglected in the equation.

At Semiomantics we have developed a strategic concept to bring towns or cities in front of an interested audience. At present we are testing the concept targeting the  community of Vouliagmeni in Greece.

The WP Best Classified Ads Module is a development arising from a customer’s need: in fact the existing directory scripts don’t give us satisfaction from an optimization point of view. In fact, traditionally directories have been highly visible 5 to 10 years ago but they have about disappeared from the radar on Search Engines such as from Google Top 10. We have been searching for a solution to apply the benefits of Semiomantics Search Engine Optimization to Classifieds Directories and here we go: Semiomantics WP Best Classifieds unites the semantic benefits of all Semiomantics scripts and can be added to any Semiomantics site as a further monetization module.

The WP Best Classifieds Module is part of the WP Best Themes line of Semiomantics; use and maintenance are therefore similar to WP Best Consultant, WP Best Shop and WP Best Destination.

Vouliagmeni

The new Vouliagmeni site is built on the WP Best Destination Theme by Semiomantics. The purpose of the site is to Guide visitors through Vouliagmeni and to allow an attractive surf through categories such as Real Estate, Accommodation or Restaurants and Tavernas. The Who is Who section will feature people from Vouliagmeni and an Events section will report about the hot stuff happening in our town.

The Style of the Vouliagmeni Site

Vouliagmeni is a town where tradition and posh lifestyle meet. I have opted to use one of my preferred color schemes, the black – white – beige scheme.

FeedWordPress has released a new version (2010.0127) which provides some important new features. These new features make the plug-in more flexible and allow for additional fine-tuning.

Tonight’s Ycademy call will deal with creating Borders in Photoshop. After the session about round corners, we will today look at some other types of borders which can be created with just a click of the mouse or two.

We will create elliptic borders, ripples, sunken and raised borders, capsules, buttons and so on. Be there at 7 pm London.

Cy (Cyril) Ford is a Painter living and working in Notting Hill, UK, who has decided to share his work online. His new WP Best Gallery has been set up by Semiomantics. Felisa Ryan, will take care of the content management.

It’s done! We have loaded the first draft of Cy Ford’s online Gallery to CyFord.com. For the time being we run in private mode, but the next step will be to storm Google Top 10 with the new site.

Cy Ford’s website is first of all a Gallery, place to exhibit paintings and Drawings online. The site allows the artist painter to bring his work in front of interested visitors and to sell straight of the site.

An easy to follow purchase pipeline paired with secure check-out allows Cy Ford to sell his work online. The store is easy to maintain and works can be added with just a few mouse clicks. Buyers will be able to navigate in function of the various categories, such as Drawings, Acrylic Paintings, Landscapes, Still Life, Drawings and more.

Google Top 10

As per above, we will now optimize the site and then invite Google to index and list CyFord.com. I suppose that within the next 24 hours we will see the first results on Google Top 10. Once Cy Ford indexed, we will add content to our target categories to reach higher visibility.

A special WP Best Gallery Feature

Surfing CyFord.com, you will notice that the site background changes; in fact we have built in a background rotator. The rotating images are Cy Ford’s works which can be purchased from the shop. This feature is a customization of WP Best Gallery by Semiomantics. More tomorrow.

Earlier today we have introduced Cy Ford to the Internet. In the meantime we have started working on the implementation of the project. The project is managed by Semiomantics and Felisa Ryan, an Semiomantics Agent.

Felisa has registered the domain CyFord.com at yorGOdom and acquired appropriate hosting for the new site at ChiHosters.

The name domain cyford.com will allow us to get the name of the artist under control on search engines to build authority and Cy’s public image.

The below presentation works fine on dynamic content. Use the mouse-wheel for fat image scrolling (place the cursor on an image).
